I like to have a buffet full of healthy options – museli, oat granola, natural Greek yoghurt, homemade fruit compote ( I have various ones I like to make, favourite being raspberry and apple). I like to put out a fresh fruit salad option too. I do have a penchant for vintage glass dishes which I use to serve everything in.
For those of you who prefer a more substantial breakfast there will be locally sourced Welsh produce where possible. The sausages are hand made from an award winning butcher. I only use organic milk, butter and eggs and I like to slow roast large vine tomatoes with a little balsamic vinegar and pepper.
I love the table to look inviting when you sit down so I will use various vintage tablecloths and cutlery finished off with fresh flowers.
If you still have room after all of the above there is plenty of homemade bread toast and homemade jams ( some of which are made from fruit from the garden).
As you know a good breakfast will set you up for the day for all that walking of the Pembrokeshire coastal path and it’s beaches!
I always think it’s a good idea to start your holiday with a welcoming treat and I love providing a cream tea for guests who arrive before 5.00pm.
Freshly made warm buttermilk scones with a dish of Welsh clotted cream and a choice of homemade jams all served on my extensive collection of vintage china!
If the weather is good you can enjoy this outside at one of the seating areas around Gower View. If you are in the super king room – open the French doors onto your balcony to enjoy the view whilst having your tea at your table in your room.
